An innovative health care start-up with solutions for cancer detection is seeking a working student in the area of data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision. A first product has been successfully introduced and launched in the market and is used to help clinicians and medical personnel in the detection of cancer. Two other ‘products’ are currently reviewed and developed, in stages, for other types of early cancer detection. Are you currently enrolled in a Computer Science or AI/ML related Master’s degree program? Do you have special interest in the design, development, documentation, testing and debugging of software applications and machine learning / computer vision systems with a focus on medical devices / clinical systems? Yes, then continue reading and apply.

For the development of the (ML platform) solutions, we are seeking a working student with interest in the development of clinical systems / solutions and experience in developing of at least one computer vision data science project. You will be working along with our developers by performing solid data and feature engineering, training data and validating a variety of possible ML solutions.
Next to above mentioned, you conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with software architects and senior software development leads in planning, design, development and utilisation for product and commercial software delivery. And, amongst others, you will also determine user needs, analyse system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, work with senior engineers and marketing team members to understand how requirements are gathered for a complex project.
In this position as a working student (16 – 20 hours a week on an average) you will be a full member of our start-up team and once you finished your studies, we hope you will join our team as a fulltime employee.
What you bring along

What we offer
Being part of a start-up team with high ambition and first successes in building commercial artificial intelligence (unique) solutions in several areas of the medical sector. A relatively small team with the help of (external) developers and scientists in partnership.
Being able to make the difference in early cancer detection and be in the forefront of healthcare innovation. And, as we are a young company, limitless growth possibilities.
(Forgot to mention: learn a lot!)
